Using cement or concrete you can make beautiful decorative projects for your home or garden. This time we will show you how to make candles and pots using common and easy to get molds.
Materials: Cement, water, a spatula or spoon for mixing, petroleum jelly or oil, a small brush, Molds like used plastic containers either disposable or from your kitchen, cans or containers smaller than the molds (to create holes).
Procedure: 1.- Start by making the paste by mixing cement with the water slowly until creating a thick mixture (use the spatula)
2.- Prepare the molds (You can use the bottom of the plastic bottles) and with the aid of the brush varnish the inside with Vaseline or oil
3.- Empty the cement mixture in the mold
4.- Prepare the small container with which you create the gap by varnishing it with oil or Vaseline but all over the exterior.
5.- Bury the small container in the mold with cement. You should add weight like stones, sand or coins to prevent it from floating or getting out.
6.- Let dry a full day in dry climates or several days in humid climates
7.- Unmold carefully. If you used a bottle as a mold, you can break it to remove the piece more easily.
Variants: You can use plaster instead of cement to do any of these projects
