Learn how to make simple simple spheres or balls with thread or yarn and use them to give a really original touch to parties such as weddings, XV years or christenings. It is common to see these spheres as part of decorating a home, however it can also be an interesting option to use at a party, and although it seems difficult they are very easy to make. Here's how:
Materials: Balloons, rustic thread or thin rope (wool or yarn can also be used) white glue
Procedure: 1.- Inflate the balloon to a normal size (without inflating too much to maintain a spherical shape)
2.- Begin to roll up the thread in the balloon, as if rolling a ball of wool or yarn
3.- With the aid of a brush apply the white glue on the thread until it covers everything.
4.- Continue to roll the thread in the balloon while applying on it the white glue
5.- Allow to dry completely (an entire day is recommended in dry climates and more days for humid climates) before popping the balloon with a pin.
6. pop the balloon and remove it through one of the holes formed in the sphere,
Some useful tips: --- Place a small LED candle inside the sphere to create a simple centerpiece
--- You can paint the sphere (with acrylic paint) when the thread is already dry but before popping the balloon. Apply the paint and let it dry again completely before popping.
--- Add fabric or paper flowers to decorate the sphere.
